The Haringey Big Community Switch
Are you paying too much for your electricity and gas bills?
What is the Big Community Switch?
We're tapping into collective consumer power to help you get a better deal on your gas and electricity. Every few months an 'auction' is held where the energy companies compete to offer lower and lower tariffs until the lowest bidder wins. Everyone who registers to switch will be offered the opportunity to switch to the winning deal.
The more people who register to switch, the better the deal we will be able to negotiate. You can choose to take the new energy tariff deal or not so there's nothing to lose!

How much could I save?
You could save £200 on your energy bills. Some people have saved more or less than this, depending on their current tariff and how much energy they use. Of the thousands of people who signed up for the recent Big Community Switch 99% could save money on their energy bills!
I helped my mum sign up. She said switching to the new deal was really straightforward - everything was taken care of for her.
What do I need to do?
Let us do the hard work and find out if you could save money by switching your energy provider. To register for the next Big Community Switch visit our Big Community Switch website (external link) and follow the instructions.
There are three simple steps to the process:
- Tell us you're interested in switching your energy supplier to save money. Sign up for free and with no obligation. All you need to register is your one of your electricity and gas bills, or if you have a pre-payment meter, details of how much you pay.
- You'll receive a personal offer email with details of the winning energy price deal.
- You choose whether or not you want to switch to the new deal. If you want to switch you will need to let us know by accepting the offer - we then take care of the switch for you
If you already have a very good deal for your gas and electricity we may not be able to offer you a lower tariff, but as there is no obligation to switch, why not register online to find out how much you could save.
No access to the Internet or email?
Up to five households can register using the same email address. Why not help out a neighbour or friend who doesn't have access to the Internet or email, but wants to take part?

Lots of people tell me they thought switching to a new tariff was too difficult, but they find Collective Switching makes it much easier.

For me the Big Switch is a very good idea. I've signed up because at the moment I'm paying too highly for my energy bills.
