Tree trail

The museum and parks service produced a tree trail for the park. It details an exciting trail for children to follow.

Oak tree 

A magnificent ancient oak tree dominates the northern side of the park. It's believed to be about 500 years old and came runner up in the Woodland Trust’s Tree of the Year award for England in 2018.

Holocaust Memorial Garden 

The park is home to a Holocaust Memorial Garden, honouring those killed by Nazis in the second world war.

Green Flag Award 

First awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award in 2003, Bruce Castle Park has kept it ever since.

History

The park was created from the remains of the ancient Bruce Castle family estate, bought by the council in 1892.  

Bruce Castle Museum and Archive, located in the park, is a Grade I listed 16th century manor house. It houses the Haringey’s local history collections and archives and has been open since 1906. Visit the Bruce Castle Museum and Archive website to find out more.
